Chairman Guo Meiling's Diary of Fighting Against Epidemic in Wuhan
On February 20, 2020, led by Guo Meiling, Chairman of Century River Group and Vice Chairman of Health 100, a medical care team composed of 200 top medical professionals arrived in Wuhan. The following is Chairman Guo Meiling’s diary that evening:
Today, many of my friends sincerely advised me not to go to Wuhan. Some of my friends and colleagues prepared anti-epidemic products for me and specially organized a farewell ceremony for me. I have felt their attachments and I was moved by their warmth!
However, I must go. Although I am not a doctor, I have been working in the medical industry for so many years and I deeply know medical staff are faced with hard work and many difficulties. This time many colleagues enthusiastically and voluntarily asked to work in the frontline of the anti-epidemic battle. They are angels in white! The reason why I came to Wuhan on behalf of the group is that I want to give confidence and strength to all members of our medical team. This action represents our determination and confidence of Health 100 medical team and other private medical teams to support Wuhan to fight against the epidemic even if we are an private anti-epidemic team!
A letter to all team members
Dear family members from Health 100, Ciming, MJ and OASIS,
I know you must be tired now. After a week of emergency preparation, we finally arrived in Wuhan safely today. It is necessary for us to relax ourselves and have a good rest so that we can devote ourselves to fighting against the epidemic tomorrow in a good state. Dear family members, maybe we cannot immediately adapt to the local environment in Wuhan, as the food and housing conditions are not very ideal, or the weather in Wuhan is too wet and cold. But I would like to say a few words to everyone: the purpose of our Health 100 medical team is to help Wuhan and provide public welfare assistance. I believe that everyone can overcome the difficulties! We came here on behalf of the group, and the image of each team member represents our company, therefore, we must show our most professional, hardworking, and overcoming mentality! Good luck to all our team members!
